The Musikgarten curriculum teaches students to play piano as early as age 6. The approach combines singing, movement, and drumming to help young minds process the aural experience of music as they learn chords, listen for changes in the form of music, and ultimately learn to play by ear as well as learning to read the language of music. Private lessons are scheduled in two 19-week semesters, with four group lessons throughout the year (which take the place of the private lesson those weeks)
